Enbridge initiated an Open Season bidding process for Project Beacon, another proposed expansion to the Algonquin Gas Transmission (AGT) pipeline system on May 18, 2026, running through July 1, 2026. Project scope will be comprised of a combination of replacing existing smaller diameter pipe with larger diameter pipe, extending pipeline loops in parallel to existing pipeline facilities, and adding compression at existing compressor stations. Customers will have the opportunity to elect a separate combined pipeline and storage service, flexible in-region storage solution to manage their portfolio needs. Gas receipt point will be from the west at Ramapo, NY. Unlike Project Maple, it will not include receipt point to the east at Salem MA.
